Hi, I’m Jonathan.

My journey to barbering started after a career in marketing, when I realized I wanted work that felt meaningful and personal. I left the corporate world behind, enrolled in barber school, and haven’t looked back.

I learned my craft working on a Coast Guard base and in busy San Francisco shops, mastering everything from skin fades to razor cuts and building real relationships with my clients. Moving to Dallas was a leap. I started fresh, with no clients or connections, but I’m proud of the community I’ve built here in Lakewood.

At The Burly Barbershop, it’s just you and me—no distractions, just honest conversation and a cut designed for you. I’m passionate about offering more than the basics, so you’ll find services like waxing, facials, and full-body grooming here too. For me, barbering is about trust, connection, and helping every client look and feel their best.
